Privacy policy
Updated October 12, 2026. Advertising provisions below apply to Android version 1.4.0 and later when released. Version 1.3.1 and earlier remain ad-free.
This policy describes how Gateworld Solutions handles information in the Golf Freedom X Android app (package com.gateworld.golffreedom), including the ad-free 1.3 releases and the upcoming ad-supported 1.4 release.
Information used by the app
Golf Freedom X does not require an account. The golf course and saved round work offline. Version 1.3.1 and earlier do not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Android version 1.4.0 adds Google AdMob for ads at natural breaks between holes, when an internet connection and applicable privacy permissions are available. We do not send your scores or motion readings to Gateworld Solutions servers.
When you enable motion swing, the app reads your device’s accelerometer and, if available, gyroscope to interpret your swing. These readings are processed on your device for gameplay and are not transmitted to us.
Advertising in Android version 1.4.0 and later
Google Mobile Ads and its User Messaging Platform process information to deliver and measure ads, manage privacy choices, and prevent fraud. This can include IP address (and approximate location inferred from it), device identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID, app/ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Information is transmitted to Google using encrypted connections. We do not request precise location. No third-party mediation networks are included in this release.
Where required, the app displays Google’s consent message before requesting ads. You can revisit available choices through Menu → Privacy choices. Declining personalized advertising does not prevent golf gameplay; ads may be limited or non-personalized depending on your choices and location. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps for Google’s processing, retention, and controls.
Saved game information
The app stores round progress, scores, selected club, and shot state locally on your device so you can resume play. We do not receive this information. Use “Start over · reset round” in the app to remove saved round progress. You can also clear the app’s storage or uninstall it to remove local app data. Device backup and restore settings may affect locally stored data.
Permissions and sharing
The app does not use your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location. We do not sell or share app gameplay data or motion readings with third parties. Google Play and your device operating system may separately process purchase, installation, diagnostic, or backup information under their own policies.
Privacy-policy website and support
Opening this policy launches a website in your browser. Its hosting service may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the page. This page has no advertising, analytics scripts, or contact form.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Children’s privacy
The app does not ask children or other users to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us to request its deletion.
Retention, security, and requests
Gameplay data remains on your device until reset, cleared, or removed. We do not have access to your local saved game. You may contact us to ask about, correct, or delete information you have sent directly to support. We use reasonable measures to protect support information and limit its use to responding to requests.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change. Version-specific changes are identified above so you can check which practices apply to your installed version.
